The first weekend of our program we traveled to Hartford, Connecticut to train with the Hartford team, which is also working or on economic, environmental and social solutions.
While just shy of 70 miles apart on the Connecticut River (the Valley program is based in Greenfield and Turners Falls) the two programs represent two different sides of New England. One rural and post-industrial, the other an urban center whose residents see little of the wealth that passes through it.
